Training Programs for Children and Youth

“Circle of Grace”:  A safe environment program for children and youth in grades Preschool through Grade 12 who are enrolled in a Catholic School or Religious Education Program.  This program was written by the Archdiocese of Omaha and consists of lessons plans that build on each other from grade to grade.

“Called to Protect: Young Children”:   A safe environment program for children in grades Kindergarten through Grade 5 who are enrolled in a Religious Education Program.  This program was developed by Praesidium, Inc and consists of lesson plans that build on each other from grade to grade. 

“Called to Protect: Youth”:  A safe environment program for youth in Grade 6 through Grade 12 who are enrolled in a Religious Education Program.  This program was developed by Praesidium, Inc and consists of a DVD, discussion questions, and activities for each grade

Safe Environment

The Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls is committed to providing healthy and holy environments for the children of our diocese to grow in their faith. As part of this commitment, we have created educational programs and policies for the employees and volunteers who work in our parishes, schools and institutions. These programs and policies are required of all clergy, school personnel, parish employees and of all volunteers who work with children or vulnerable adults.
